I didn't actually shoot this image, seeing as how I am in it. But it is my camera and I set it up, I just had someone click the shutter. This is in Moab at delicate arch. After running a half marathon, we thought it would be a good idea to hike delicate arch. Wow, I thought I was maybe going to die, but it was worth it. It had been a few years since I had hiked it. This weekend I am doing the Wasatch Back with some friends. I don't know what I'm getting myself into, but it should be fun. Anyhow, wish me luck!

Take a picture, it'll last longer!

Here are a couple more images from my photo geeks, girls rule extravaganza in Moab. I ususally don't shoot nature, but what do you do in the middle of the desert with no one around? I shot these with my yashica (which I love btw) with kodak 400vc color negative film. I'm loving the contrast and color that came out of them. Watch for more from this trip to come!

Moab

I'm going to Moab this weekend for a half marathon.  I was there a few weeks ago with Steph, Teri, and Elizabeth for a photo geeks, girls rule extravaganza.  It was such a fun weekend.  I shot 10 rolls of film and am just going though editing, so much much more photos to come.  Wish me luck on my half marathon!

Whidbey Island

While I was in Seattle, we took a day to visit my friend Celeste who lives on Whitbey Island. We took a ferry to the Island and had to put our car on the ferry. I've never done that before and it was quite an adventure, though it was a short ride. It was so much fun! It was really foggy, but so beautiful. I'm glad I was able to catch up with my old friend Celeste.

Cherry Pie Anyone?

I spent a few days in Seattle a little while ago. On our way out of town we stopped in North Bend where they filmed Twin Peaks (an early 90's tv show by David Lynch, which is awesome if you haven't seen it yet). We stopped at Twedes Cafe where they have the best cherry pie ever and where a lot of Twin Peaks was filmed. I highly reccommend stopping there if you have a chance.
